Covid-19 Measures for Passengers travelling to the Republic of Suriname

Visa-free travel to Suriname

Further amendment of the 1983 Visa Instruction (S.B. 1984 No. 68, as last amended by S.B. 2021 No. 108).

As of October 1, 2021, persons born in the territory of the Republic of Suriname and currently in possession of a nationality other than Surinamese, upon presentation of a valid passport, will be allowed to enter the territory of Suriname visa-free for a maximum stay of 6 months. (six months.)

Unilateral abolition for visa requirement to enter Suriname for all countries

(expanded Visa-free travel to Suriname)

In order to further facilitate the movement of persons to Suriname, the Government of the Republic of Suriname  has decided to unilaterally abolish the requirement to obtain a visa to enter the Republic of Suriname  for all countries for purposes of tourism and family visits  for a period of 90 days as per July 01, 2022.
